Fireflies.ai pricing in 2026: what each plan costs, and the charges people miss
As of 17 October 2026, Fireflies.ai has four plans: Free ($0), Pro ($10 per seat per month billed annually, or $18 monthly), Business ($19 annually, or $29 monthly) and Enterprise ($39, annual billing only). Advanced AI features use AI credits: each plan comes with a one-time pool (Free 20, Pro 20, Business 30, Enterprise 50), and extra credits cost from $5 a month for 50. Free accounts created on or after 1 September 2026 get 3 transcriptions unless Auto-join is on.

Yearly totals are our math from list prices (per-seat monthly price × 12), before tax. Fireflies' billing terms say a seat is created the moment a teammate is added, and every admin or member counts as one billable seat. Fireflies' blog says Enterprise has tiered volume discounts for larger teams.
What the Free plan includes (and the September 2026 change)
The 3-transcription rule for new accounts
Fireflies' guide says the limits apply "to users who sign up on or after September 1, 2026". With Auto-join calendar meetings on, Fireflies "automatically joins and transcribes your eligible meetings, with no cap on the number of transcriptions". With it off, "You're limited to the Free plan's default of 3 meeting transcriptions." The "Only when I invite [email protected]" option "does not support unlimited transcriptions". Accounts created before 1 September keep their old limits. The trade-off: unlimited transcription on Free means the Fireflies bot (Fred) joins your eligible calendar meetings automatically.

Storage
Free includes 400 minutes of storage per team, shared across the workspace, not per person. Fireflies' blog says that once you hit the cap you need to delete older meetings to make room.
Recording length
Fireflies' pricing page lists a 2-hour recording limit on Free and Pro, 3 hours on Business and 4 hours on Enterprise. Its blog says meetings that exceed the limit stop recording automatically.
AI summaries: Fireflies' own pages disagree
The pricing page lists "Limited AI summaries" on Free and "Unlimited AI summaries" on paid plans. The billing terms say "Features like summaries, transcription, and recap emails are never charged in credits." The free-plan guide says AI features "such as Smart Summaries, Meeting Recaps, Action Items, and Analytics still depend on your plan's AI credit balance." Pro vs Business vs Enterprise
- Pro ($10 annual / $18 monthly): 8,000 minutes of storage per seat, video recording, downloads of transcripts, summaries and recordings, AI Skills, Personal Assistant, unlimited integrations, 2-hour recordings.
- Business ($19 annual / $29 monthly): everything in Pro plus unlimited storage, 3-hour recordings, multi-language mode, conversation intelligence, team analytics for admins, public meeting access, user groups, 30 one-time AI credits.
- Enterprise ($39, annual only): everything in Business plus rules engine, SSO and SCIM, audit logs, HIPAA compliance, private storage, custom data retention, 4-hour recordings, 50 one-time AI credits.
Pro may be enough if your meetings stay under 2 hours and 8,000 minutes per seat covers your archive. Business is the step up if you need meetings up to 3 hours, unlimited storage, or team-wide analytics.
AI credits: what they cost and when Fireflies charges automatically
What uses credits
Fireflies' billing terms list AI Skills, Personal Assistant, Voice Agents, Sales Assist, Slack Assistant, Autofill CRM, AskFred on Live Assist and Magic Soundbites. The AI-credits guide adds custom summary sections. Transcription and recap emails are not charged in credits.
Credits are pooled per team
Plan credits are one-time, shared across the whole team, and "don't increase as you add teammates". Upgrading replaces your credits rather than adding to them: Free to Business gives 30 credits, not 50.
The auto-subscription rule
"If your default plan AI credits run out and you're not yet on an AI credits subscription, Fireflies automatically subscribes you to the lowest AI credits tier ($5/month for 50 credits)."
Free users "will see a paywall and be prompted to upgrade — no auto-charge applies". If you're already on an AI credits subscription and Auto-Upgrade is on, Fireflies upgrades you to the next tier when credits run out. Purchased credits don't carry over between billing cycles and are non-refundable, per the billing terms.
Two features that use credits by default
The AI-credits guide says Daily Digest and Meeting Prep (part of Personal Assistant) "are enabled by default and consume AI credits", and must be turned off in AI Skills settings to stop that. Auto-Upgrade and the AI credits subscription are managed in Settings → Billing.

AI credits are pooled per team, so the smallest add-on ($5/month, or $4/month on annual billing, for 50 credits) is a team-level cost of $60 or $48 a year. It doesn't multiply by seats.
